My first memories of St Marks seem to be of Mrs Scrogg I remember we had Plasticine to play with , some kids obviously ate it being Infants. We also had a small cardboard shop. We had plastic money and we had to sell tiny cardboard copies of everyday groceries and reckon up the change , it was a bit too much for most Infants to cope with.

The thing I remember at school is the little beds they used to make us have a nap on in the afternoons, I also remember a dinner lady making me eat custard then when I was sick all over the dinner table she sent me to the head, she said I forced myself to be sick, I still can't eat custard.

When I was about 2-3 years old, on a couple of occasions at least, Miss Booth, or one of her assistants, took me to the inside infant toilets and put soap in my mouth for talking when I should have been asleep on the camp beds in the nursery.

I vividly remember playing like this, looks like some of the equipment hadn't change much either.
