Football Team ?
The year is unknown but the goalies hat might give the year away to some football fanatic, I would guess 1910 any offers.
I remember Gordon Egerton. He was a few years older than me and was in the "top class" when he first came to my attention, he was a hero to us lads because he was the best footballer in the school, at least he scored most of the goals, lots and lots of them as he was a big strong lad and played at centre forward. We youngsters used to watch him play in school matches that were played outside school hours.
If I' am not mistaken, Bolton Wanderers took him on their books but I don't think he ever made the first team.
Two other good footballers in the same class and school football team were Ernie Matthews and Jimmy Jackson.
