St Marks 1960

In this photo just to the left you can see where the wall dips slightly this is where it was rebuilt after a vehicle crashed into it in 1936.
I was introduced to Jimmy Cleanclogs by Grandma one day. Jimmy was walking down Coe St and was obviously different from the normal in some way but seemed to radiate some kind of religious reverence , I was certainly affected Jimmy wore a cap and a smart suit , his clogs were always polished, My grannie said if anyone spoke to him he would pull his watch out of his waistcoat, shuffle a bit, then walk away like a perfect gentleman who had more important business to attend to.
