The old terraced houses in the background being slowly demolished.
The street where the lorry is was Steele St.
The shop on the corner of Fletcher St and Steele St was Powters cake and bread shop. Keith Powter (a great goalie) was in my class.

I remember buying miniature Hovis loaves from a shop across the road from St Marks. They were perhaps a penny each and weighed perhaps an ounce but they sure were filling. I also remember the pawn shop on the same row , articles like suits and watches were pawned on monday and reclaimed on friday , that's how it was.
